Doireann O'Carroll
Hi, my name is Doireann and I'm the friendly face in the office in the music school.
I have a background of music teaching and have been teaching since my first year of college. I joined the music school in 2021 and as the school grew, I decided to have an exciting career change and switched from teacher to admin.
I graduated from W.I.T (now S.E.T.U) with a BA (Hons) in Music but I also have a certificate in Administration and Office Management.
When I'm not in the office, music is still a very big part of my life. I enjoy choral singing and playing violin and viola.
My favourite music changes based on the day! I love artists like Kate Bush, Mitski, Halsey and Paris Paloma but I also love composers like Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Danny Elfman and Ludovico Einaudi.
I'm so glad to be working in Hanrahan School of Music. Helping our parents and students is a meaningful part of my job, and hearing the students play and grow in their musical skills truly brightens my day.
